BUILDER'S DIARY (DNEVNIK GRADITELJA)
Documentary. Director: Jasmila Zbanic. 2007. 40 minutes.

The shapes of the renowned Suleiman Han's bridge, better known as the Old Bridge, were not linked to any time or style, either Ottoman or Western European. The film covers the reconstruction of the Bridge destroyed in 1993 during war operations. Through the eyes of the builder, we follow the complex reconstruction process, which was completed using the same techniques as the ones used in 1566 by master Hayrudin, the apprentice of the great builder Sinan. We bear witness to the exciting two-year struggle that the builder has while trying to uncover the secrets woven into the bridge.
BELIEVERS (VJERNICI)
Documentary. Director: Namik Kabil, 2008. 23 minutes.
The story of multiethnic Sarajevo today sounds like an ironic and sad stereotype because it refers to the life in Sarajevo before the war, which is largely gone. Still, there are people who go against the flow, such as members of the “Pontanima” choir who gather in a Franciscan church in a suburb of Sarajevo.

Two businessmen unexpectedly visit Slavno demanding the residents to leave the village offering money in return. The villagers face a dilemma: should they accept the offer that could save their lives but destroy their souls?
